It can charge up to 3A and this charging current can be adjusted by changing the value of the resistor in the picture below as follows:

– Factory setting: 3A

– Without resistor: 2A

– With 135k resistor: 1A

The module is powered through the USB Type-C connector or directly through the IN+ and IN- pads.

The noteworthy feature of this module is the fact that when it detects the voltage of 4.2V in the battery with a charging current of less than 300mA, after the CV phase (Constant Voltage), it stops charging every 4 minutes to check if the voltage battery is low. If this is over 4.15V, charging is stopped. If it drops below 4.15V, the charging process is resumed to check again after 4 minutes. If the battery is fully charged, recharging will resume when the voltage in the battery drops below 4.1V.
